Castle Den Bramel, Friday October 2, 2015

Foto
Foto
This obviously is a church and not a castle. It is the Gudula Church of Lochem, which we visited Thursday evening with still a little sun. We couldn't go out all Thursday, waiting for the folks to mend the star in my windowscreen of the car, which they did in the afternoon. I was glad they paid housevisits for otherwise I had to go all the way to Doetinchem.

There is a restaurant opposite the church but the terrace was already in the shadow, so we asked them whether we could take our coffee to the churchbenches. After this we have a good meal at a hippy-restaurant in Lochem and then Friday, back to the trees:

The location is Den Bramel in Vorden, where they have lovely trees with beautiful energies.

It starts with a lane full of giant beeches.

There is even a sevenfold Beech.

The path turns right and the trees are now oaks. Again it was a lovely sunny day, John did pick his holiday exactly at the right time!

We then pose our questions to the entrance-oak. I had nothing other to ask then Oak to help me with my astrological casino-research and Oak was pretty friendly in replying. On the right a qualitatively terrible photograph, as we walk up to the haunted house.

The view on the sky gives a good photo. Passing the house, and going to the left we meet the large sycamore (?) tree, the guardian of the entrance to the sacred path on these grounds.

"Hello tree!", "Hello John!"

A little further we stumble upon a true relic of the past. A monumental sculpture almost.

The funghi which were here in the past had gone, almost completely. And John tries out his energy.

Looking closely you can spot our meditation-bench here, but John tries out the nearby chestnut-tree first.

We continue and I see a change at another entrance, the tree stumps were not here before.

I sing OM to these beeches, which at least in the past they loved. John keeps at a save distance:-)

Then we come to the part where many knots have been tied in the beech-trees, sometimes as a symbol for love promised to a partner. Naturally we add some knots here.
Foto

We pass the bridge to go from South Node (knots) to North Node, and tie some new North Nodes in the opposite direction.
Foto

And holy moly, look at this! John is surrounded by orbs as he ties a North Node knot!!

According to John's mother still water is the place where witches were put on trial in the past, and so the English apparently don't like still water.

We then enter the grounding-path (right-hand photo).

Then comes the "Path with Sad Energies". Without telling that to John I asked what he felt here. It wasn't much. But I didn't feel much of the Sad Energy here either anymore, so maybe it has been ebbing away!
Foto
Back at the entrance we thank the entrance-Oak and I ask him whether we can please have sun on the nearby terrace of the cafe we plan to visit for coffee. Oak says: well my dear, for that things have to be changed first. Little did we know how predictive that was. There was plenty of sunshine on the terrace, yet, the cafe was.... closed. We then drive all the way to:

"De Hoofdige Boer" in Almen, where we have a pancake and an "uitsmijter" blessed by the orbs surrounding us, orbs of the sun, there was sunshine here:-)

We were home just in time for Beatrice's visit to us. More mini-astrology conference! Followed the next day by:

A lecture by John in the kitchen, on the subject of the guillotine, some notes can be found here.

Outside we see two spiders guillotining each other...
and this then concludes our English pages. It was a great week with John, the next day he went to England, and I to Belgium.
